D. Clayton Hoyle

Clayton Hoyle is a Co-founder and Director of EDmin.com. He served as EDmin.com’s President since the Company’s inception in 1989 through August 2001. Mr. Hoyle is currently responsible for strategic partnerships, business development, and government relations.

Under his leadership EDmin.com has grown to be a major corporate player in the field of educational technology. Mr. Hoyle’s background in financial management and human behavior/psychology provides a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that proved to be invaluable in starting and sustaining EDmin.com. Strategic partnerships with Hewlett Packard (Compaq Computer) Corporation and Microsoft have further strengthened EDmin.com’s market position as a leading provider of cutting-edge, Web-based solutions to improve learning.

Mr. Hoyle represents the Company and its mission to ‘Build Performance Communities’ to clients and investors. To raise the level of academic performance in American schools, EDmin.com provides schools and districts with the Web-based tools to create ‘Connected Learning Communities’ where all members of the educational community – students, parents, teachers, and administrators – are joined in an open atmosphere of communication and collaboration dedicated to improving results. Mr. Hoyle is a distinguished speaker and panel presenter on topics relating to the integration of technology and the use of the Internet in education. Among other past responsibilities, he led the national launch of INFORM®.

From 1978 to 1989, Mr. Hoyle served at National University in San Diego, Calif., in various executive management positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance. As one of National University’s key executives, he assisted it in growing from one site with 500 students to the third largest private university in California with over 60 sites and 12,000 students. Mr. Hoyle’s responsibilities included financial planning and budget management for the entire university, as well as negotiation and administration of all State and Federal contracts and university operations. He also served on Executive Committees for the development and implementation of state- of-the-art technologies for the entire university. Prior to his tenure at National University, Mr. Hoyle served as an educator and senior level administrator for five years.

Mr. Hoyle has served on numerous boards for non- profit and professional organizations, including the San Diego School of Christian Studies, Corporate Finance Council, YMCA, and METRO. He is presently an active member of the San Diego Business Roundtable for Education sponsored by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and participates in numerous regional events that foster the integration of technology in education.

Mr. Hoyle received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University in Chico in 1975 and his Master’s degree of Business Administration from National University in 1984.
